Unknown gunmen on Friday night allegedly shot dead a night security guard on a mining site located at Aba-Aagun village, via Itagun in Osu of Atakumosa East local government area of Osun State, Tribune Online authoritatively gathered.
Credible security source informed our correspondent that the victim, a 35 year old from Delta State was identified as Emmanuel Moses.
Moses, who worked with Oodua Mining Site in Osu was said to have been shot in the chest by yet-to-be-identified assailants at about 8.30 pm on Friday night.

According to the source, “an empty cartridge was recovered at the scene of the incident, while his body retrieved at the spot was confirmed dead by doctors at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Osun State Police Command, Mrs Folasade Odoro confirmed the incident.
The Osun PPRO simply stated, “the corpse of the victim had been deposited at the morgue of OAUTHC for autopsy while investigation to apprehend the unknown gunmen who are the perpetrators has commenced immediately.”
