Besides, from managing funds of N42 billion at its inception in 2006, Trustfund Pensions has improved significantly to managing funds in excess of half a trillion Naira as at present.
The Managing Director of Trustfund Pensions Limited, Helen Da-Souza, disclosed this at the unveiling of new corporate identity (logo) of the pension funds administrator, in Abuja.
Da-Souza, also revealed that Trustfund now has over 700,000 Retiree Saving Accounts (RSAs), even when it ended year 2006 with just 190,000 RSAs.
After 12 successful years, the Managing Director said it has become imperative for the brand to differentiate itself from the Pension Funds Administrator (PFA) glut; thus necessitating the need for the new logo.

According to her, “a company’s corporate identity is the face of the company, its products and services and a means of connecting with its customers. Trustfund Pensions Limited has evolved over the past 12 years and the time has come for a change. Since its inception over 12 years ago, Trustfund Pensions Limited has creditably advanced into one of the topmost Pension Funds Administrators in Nigeria.”
She added: “Our current logo simply says Trusfund, which over the years has created an identity mix for the brand. It has been difficult for the public to differentiate the brand from other Organisation bearing similar names or acronyms.
“Today, we proudly unveil the new Trustfund Pensions Limited corporate identity with a competitive differentiation as we pledge to continue to raise the bar and push ourselves to the very best for our customers and stakeholders and indeed for ourselves and our families.”
Giving a brief of the brand presentation before unveiling the logo, the Head, Human Resource and Administration, Mrs. Oluyemisi Adedayo-Ojo, said the journey for Trustfund Pensions began in 2005 when the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), the Nigeria Labour Congress, the Trade Union Congress, the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association, Sky Bank (now Polaris Bank), Niger Insurance Plc and ChapelHill Denham Management Limited; came together to incorporate Trustfund Pensions.
She stated that since the company licensed in 2006 and commenced operations with 21 full time employees, “we have not looked back; building on foundation of trust, professionalism, sound ethics and excellent customer service.”
She pointed out that the number of their branches and service centers has grown to 46 nationwide, with a staff strength of 717.
“A cursory scan of competition within the pension industry and indeed the financial service sector reveal activities targeted at the younger generation who are just getting into the work force. In order to attract these younger generation, it is imperative to project a brand image that resonates with them;” she said.
…Partners FRSC to sensitise workers on safe driving
As part of its social Corporate Responsibility (CRS) of prevention of road crashes during this Ember months, Trustfund Pension Plc has partnered with the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), to sensitize workers on safe driving.
The partnership, according to Trusfund, is very imperative as workers would be traveling for Christmas and new year celebration. As part of the efforts, the Trusfund donated 5,000 reflective jackets to the Federal Road Safety Corp.
Making the donation in Abuja, at the FRSC headquarters, Trustfund managing director, Helen Da-Souza said the company believes the jackets will help personnel of the Corp carry out their responsibilities of road safety effectively.
She assured that the company will continue to support the FRSC to safeguard lives and move the nation forward.
In his reaction, Corp Marshal of the FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi, said the jackets will serve their personal in traffic control especially during this period when their is heavy traffic on the roads
He commended Trustfund for the donation, which he disclosed has been an annual ritual since 2015, when the company donated 10,000 jackets.
He however cautioned road users to be cautious especially during this festive season, saying there are many ongoing construction of roads going on, hence motorists have to be careful.
He said, “we appreciate what the government is doing. A lot of road construction is going on. If u are going on a 4 hours journey, u should factor 2 hours. We advise people now to plan their journey because of what the government is doing.
“As we approach the festive period, People must ensure that their vehicles are in good shape. Issues of tires and other safety measures must be adhered to. We are not on the road to harass Nigerians. Our own is to ensure safety of Nigerians.”
