Tinubu’s bold reforms enabling socio-economic stability — Ogunbiyi

A gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, has described President Bola Tinubu as a leader with strong acumen, noting that he has championed bold reforms that are yielding positive results.

He also reaffirmed his unreserved commitment to the unity of the APC under the leadership of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, and the party’s national leader, Pa Bisi Akande.

According to a statement by his media office, the business tycoon spoke on Saturday at a meeting with the expanded caucus of the Osun APC women’s wing.

Speaking on President Tinubu’s reforms, Ogunbiyi mentioned that he “is an uncommon transformative leader who has timeously demonstrated visionary and courageous leadership through the removal of fuel subsidy and the liberalization of foreign exchange, which are the enablers of the socioeconomic stability Nigeria is experiencing today.”

He added: “In Nigeria today, we no longer experience harrowing queues at filling stations; businesses can now enjoy unhindered access to stable foreign exchange; and all sub-nationals have sufficient resources to expand the prism of socioeconomic development for the people.

“These are undeniable gains of what courage, ingenuity, and vision can birth for any nation that has a transformative leader such as President Tinubu.”

The Osun-born insurance mogul further stated that President Tinubu has freed Nigeria from the shackles of economic cankerworms that could have become a transgenerational burden, noting that the recoveries and gains recorded under his administration speak for themselves and strengthen his chances of re-election.

Speaking on his gubernatorial aspiration, Ogunbiyi restated his aversion to do-or-die politics while reiterating his loyalty to the party’s unity under the leadership of Adegboyega Oyetola and Pa Bisi Akande.

“This is the third time I am contesting, and my ambition has always been defined by service, not self-centeredness. I therefore seek the support and prayers of all women, who are the fulcrum of our trajectory, as I assure you that your welfare will remain my priority,” he said.

While speaking on behalf of the APC women’s wing, the State Women Leader, Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde, commended Ogunbiyi for his dedication to the progress and unity of the party, reiterating the need to continue advancing the interests of women at all levels.
