President Bola Tinubu has approved the elevation of two senior aides attached to the office of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
He has approved the appointment of Mr Temitola Adekunle-Johnson as Special Adviser (SAD) to the President on Job Creation & MSME (Office of the Vice President). Prior to this appointment, Mr Adekunle-Johnson served in the same portfolio as Senior Special Assistant.
The President has also approved the appointment of Mrs Uju Anwuka as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Health (Office of the Vice President). Before this approval, she was Special Assistant to the President in the same portfolio in the Office of the Vice President.
In a statement on Wednesday, Stanley Nkwocha, the Vice President’s spokesman, said the appointments continue the efforts to actualise the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in the respective sectors.

The statement noted that, as Senior Special Assistant, Mr Adekunle-Johnson has diligently driven some of the administration’s policies and programs in the areas of job creation and development in the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector in Nigeria. Key initiatives implemented under his supervision include the Expanded National MSME Clinics and the Shared Facility Initiative, among others.
Mrs Anwuka, on the other hand, has industriously anchored the administration’s vision in combating malnutrition and hunger, especially in vulnerable communities across the country, while serving as Special Assistant. A key program under her watch is the recently launched Nutrition 774 Initiative.
Their latest appointments as Special Adviser and Senior Special Assistant, respectively, take effect immediately.
