Former presidential spokesperson, Dr Doyin Okupe, has described President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to Enugu State as a “game changer”.
Okupe, in a statement on Sunday, praised Tinubu’s openness and affection for the South-East region.
He noted that the President made significant commitments to support developmental projects in the region.
According to Okupe, Tinubu’s gestures towards the South-East are genuine and commendable.
“The visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Enugu on Saturday is a major game changer.”
“Any objective observer can easily discern President Tinubu’s open-heartedness and unrestrained affection for the South-East.
“He (Tinubu) spoke openly and candidly from his heart and made very significant commitments for support for developmental projects in the South-East,” he said.
He urged the President to continue building bridges across the nation for political stability and peaceful coexistence.
Tinubu’s visit to Enugu State on Saturday included the inauguration of several projects executed by Governor Peter Mbah. These projects included the Airport-New Haven-Bisalla and Okpara Square roads, Enugu Smart Green Schools, Enugu International Conference Centre, and the Enugu Command and Control Centre.
The President also inaugurated 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI surveillance cameras.
