All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Osun State in the coming poll, Mr Bola Suliman Olaniyi, has described the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, as the author and apostle of modern transformational governance in Nigeria, through which the incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and his predecessor, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, have emerged as successors to put Lagos State in front of its peers in the country.
Suliman said this in a statement made available to the Tribune Online, urging that Nigerians should appreciate Tinubu, who he further described as the only African political demagogue whose roles in the nation transcended mere political practice and sojourning, for the good roles he is performing in the country and overseas.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the author and apostle of modern transformational governance which he launched in Lagos State in the year 1999 and bequeathed to his successors on completion of his two terms in office as the outgoing Executive Governor of Lagos State.
“Nigerians should appreciate him for the good roles he is performing in Nigeria and overseas. Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the only African political demagogue whose roles in the nation transcend mere political practice and sojourning.
“Assessing his good roles from the grassroots or elementary level, Nigerians should think of a man who for all days think of the welfare and elevation of other people especially the downtrodden or hopeless people, using and dashing his own financial treasures as well as using his good position and wealth of connection to assist many other people,” Suliman said.
The governorship aspirant reiterated that he was poised to bringing life more abundant to the people of Osun if elected as the next governor of the state.
According to him, “The entire people and residents of Osun State should no more have themselves weighed down by the prevalent economic situation of the state but have their highest level of hope and conviction in the promise of God that a positive change and turnaround of their life situation is behind their doors knocking.
“Though its presently hectic feeding the family due to the unbearable prices of foodstuffs and other basic necessities of life but better days are behind the door knocking. The incumbent administration has tried as much as possible to attend to this prime problem but the inadequacy of funds and meagre internally generated funds limited the able willingness of the government.”
While acknowledging the good work of Governor Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola in the state, the APC governorship aspirant said: “Immediately I take over the control of the state, provision of foods for the masses will be my first priority attention. A Yoruba adage says ‘If hunger gets out of human penury, it reduces to the minimum.’
“My intended programmes area to make my Osun State people believe the fact that prosperity is not a privilege but an individual’s right, and that Education is not meant for the children of the rich while government service to its people is not meant for only the educated people but for the uneducated people too.
“I hereby assure and send a message of hope to my people to free their minds and throw behind them the pains and thought of the prevalent economy situation of the state and pray to enjoy the better days knocking at their door. The prevalent economic situation will soon be a matter of history,” Olaniyi assured.
