Social media users have continued to react to a trending video of controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, slapping a pastor who came to preach at his bar.
Tribune Online reports that in the viral Instagram live video, the ‘Zazu’ singer accused the pastor of driving away customers from his bar.
Angered by the pastor’s presence, the singer slapped him, claiming that the man of God was a threat to his business.
The video has sparked diverse reactions on social media. While some condemned Portable’s actions, others argued that he had done nothing wrong, stating that he had every right to protect his business.
Condemning the incident, @symplyDAPO wrote “We are lawless in this country, this is assault.”
Another user, @stevealani12, wrote,”Portable went too far by slapping the Pastor who went to preach at his bar. There are other ways to handle such a situation…It doesn’t make sense at all.”
Similarly, @Rotleo3819 tweeted, “This is an assault and a pure harassment..Some people are just so lawless in this country. This guy portable should take life easy..Hmmm.”
In support of Portable’s actions, @Tinnymaphia tweeted, “Well what the pastor did too is called trespassing on private property, and he deserves anything the owner does to him.”
Another user, @TrustIssues_2 wrote, “Laaro Monday why pastor sef no go work and again why using your own to disturb another person. He deserves that slap.”
