SWAT operatives, Bayelsa State Command, yesterday, on a tip-off stormed a criminal hideout at Ebisam Road, Yenagoa, arresting four suspected armed robbery gang members, who were planning an operation.
The suspects namely Prefateyah Francis, 30-year-old, Job Molo Edward 41-year-old, Barine Nwinee, 41-years-old and Edho Kingsley, 44-years-old, all male, were caught while planning to launch an attack at an unknown location.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, a Barretta pistol was recovered from Prefateyah Francis during the raid.
Butswat in a statement said “they have volunteered useful information, the suspects will be charged to court at the conclusion of Investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command CP Mike Okoli fsi, calls for continued support from members of the public to enable Police to succeed in the arduous task of fighting crime.”
