Oba Olaoye to Receive Staff of Office as Soun of Ogbomosoland on Dec. 19

Oyo State Governor, Engr Makinde Seyi Makinde, will, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, present a Staff of Office to Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye as the new Soun of Ogbomosoland.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Revd Peter Olaleye, in the itinerary of a week-long coronation program made available to the Nigerian Tribune, stated that the event would commence on Thursday, December 14, and end on Wednesday, December 29, 2023.

As contained in the statement, the event will feature a Jumat service and preliminaries for the Golf Tournament on Friday, a Golf Tournament and traditional rites/worship on Saturday, while an interdenominational service will be held on Sunday.

It added that the coronation ceremony will witness Praise Night and Youth Concerts on Monday.

A week-long series of activities will be rounded off with the Presentation of the Staff of Office to the new Monarch by Governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday.
