Presiding Justice Maureen Onyetenu in her ruling ordered the embattled lecturer to be remanded in Ilesa prison custody until the next date of adjournment on Dec 17 for consideration for bail and to allow more evidence from the prosecution counsel on whether or not to grant bail.
Opposing the bail application, the Senior Legal Officer of ICPC, Mr Kehinde Adetoye had prayed the court to refuse the defendant bail on the grounds that he would not be present in court to stand his trial when released.
He further argues that the defendant had refused to appear in their office at Abuja after a written agreement to honour any invitation extended to him particularly after his return from abroad after a medical trip.
The Defense Counsel, Mr Francis Omotosho, pleaded with the court to grant his client bail pending the final determination of the case, adding that a 14 paragraph affidavit in support of the bail application had been forwarded to the court with a written address.

Omotosho added that the applicant counsel must prove with material and concrete evidence of charges against his client.
He also contended that the applicant counsel must also provide proof to justify any refusal for bail and he urged the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
It would be recalled that the embattled lecturer was first arraigned before Justice Maureen Onyetenu on November 19 by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on four counts bordering on alteration of age and demanding sex to pass his student.
