According to a source, the Septuagenarian was fast asleep in her apartment when the fire outbreak was noticed by some residents of the area around 2:15 am on Sunday.
The source explained that though the cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be ascertained, but said the old woman had died before could reach the old woman.
She disclosed that one of the tenants of the house, Femi Adedinsewo, was rescued by the people but said the young man sustained injury in the inferno.
Another resident explained that the landlady was seen with two local lamps while going to bed on Saturday night and might be responsible for the fire outbreak
He said “the alarm raised by one of the occupants of the house in the middle of the night attracted the residents and we subsequently responded and mobilised to put off the fire.
We made efforts to rescue the old woman but the ravaging inferno had burnt the landlady beyond recognition while her remains were packed in a coffin, by her relatives.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Femi Joseph, could not confirm the incident saying the fire outbreak was not reported but promised to investigate the matter.
