The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senator representing Southern Kaduna Senatorial District at the national assembly, Sunday Marshall Katung has vowed to work with the federal government and the state government to develop Southern Kaduna.
The senator, who lamented over the lack of development in Southern Kaduna, pledged to do everything possible to bring back a smile on the face of the people of the area.
The Senator was speaking with newsmen in Zonkwa, on Tuesday, the headquarters of Zango Kataf Local Government after a thank you visit and tour across the eight Local Governments that made up the zone.
He said: “I am prepared to work with whoever is the President and the governor of our state to alleviate our Senatorial district from lack of development. I will ensure our people get to smile again.”
“Elections are over and now I am a Senator for all irrespective of those that voted for me or not and notwithstanding their Party affiliations, I will partner with the federal and State governments to bring dividends of democracy to the senatorial district.”
“I shall work with all the elected members at the National and State Assemblies to speak for our people, attract developments and to secure our communities,” he said.
The Senator also tasked constituents to continue to pray for their leaders to deliver on their mandate.
While appealing to his constituents to be more patient, the lawmaker pledged to protect and defend their interest, even as he lobbies for developmental projects for the entire zone.
