Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing the Kwara Central Senatorial District and serving as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture Services, has appointed popular broadcaster Khadijat Eyintawa Lawal as Media Assistant on Broadcast Media.
This was contained in a statement issued by the senator’s media assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, on Sunday. Khadijat will be handling the broadcast media activities for the senator.
Eyitanwa, a lawyer cum broadcaster, has years of experience in the broadcast industry, and she is expected to use her vast knowledge in the media industry to serve as a link between the senator and the public through the use of conventional media towards ensuring that the dividends of democracy get across to the nooks and cranny of the Kwara central senatorial district.
Her selection is based on merit and personal traits of humility and integrity.
Khadijat Eyintanwa Lawal graduated from the University of Ilorin in 2012, where she held a bachelor’s degree in common law, and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School in Abuja, where she bagged a BL certificate before being called to the Nigerian bar as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
The Offa-born broadcaster is an on-air presenter with Sobi FM, ilorin, and former staff of Informant247, a renowned online news outlet in Kwara State.
Eyitanwa is to work closely with other members of the media team of the senator to keep the public updated on the actions of the legislator in the National Assembly.
