Nollywood actress, Rose Odika has, again, emerged Governor of the Oyo State chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) for a term of four years.
She emerged unopposed after an election conducted at Culture Centre, Mokola, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Speaking after her emergence, Odika pledged to revive performance in stage and people’s interest in theatres, as well as ensure the unity of theatre arts practitioners.
She also asserted commitment to rebranding and repackaging theatre arts, as well as working with the state government to ensure the optimal functionality of the cultural centre.
Odika sought the cooperation of theatre practitioners across the nation towards promoting and developing the arts and movie industry.
Other members of the TAMPAN executive council new were Yomi Duroladipo, deputy governor; Ogunkola M. A., Secretary; Dauda Yusuff, Assistant Secretary; Kayode Oluwole, Treasurer; Ismail Salami, Financial Secretary; Sulaiman Odebunmi, Organising Secretary; Wunmi Bello, Social Secretary; Egbeyale Samuel, Auditor; Gbadebo Taiwo, Provost Marshal.
