Our attention has been drawn to our online report of 23rd September 2023, with the title “Lekki Trade Zone Land Dispute Sparks Outrage; Beneficiaries Demand Justice,” where we reported that a group of persons under the auspices of Parapo Abomiti, Yegunda and Eyin Osa addressed a press conference stating that
“They also vehemently distanced themselves from land transactions involving Nola Adetola (Itunu/Veritasi), denouncing such transactions as fraudulent and conducted under false pretences.”
We also reported that “the beneficiaries alleged that certain individuals had forged agreements with land grabbers disguised as police officers, colluding with Murphy Adebare of Topaz Garden and Nola Adetola in their unlawful activities.”
We have since discovered that the report was not as exact as it was presented, and we hereby retract the report in its entirety.
We hold Mr Nola Adetola and Veritasi Homes and Properties in high esteem, as we did not intend to malign Mr Adetola and Veritasi Homes in any way. We equally apologise for this mix-up.
