THE House of Representatives on Tuesday suspended plenary session in honour of late Deputy House Leader, Honourable Buba Jibril.
This is coming just as President Muhammadu Buhari wrote a condolence letter to the House over the death of Honourable Jibril.
The Deputy House Leader died on March 29th while the House was on Easter break.
To this end, the Speaker, Honourable Yakubu Dogara announced that a valedictory session would be held in his honour today.
Prayer was also offered for the repose of the late lawmaker’s soul.
In his tribute to the late lawmaker, Honourable Tajudeen Yusuf said, “it is with a deep sense of loss that I, on behalf of the people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency commiserate with family, friends, colleagues, associates, National Assembly, Kogi State over d untimely, painful and tragic demise of our very dear Rt. Honourable Buba Jibril.

“Indeed, it is shocking that the cold hands of death could snatch our dear resourceful, responsive, natural bridge-builder, deep-thinking Parliamentarian and Politician, at a time when his legendary experience and goodwill is needed by the National Assembly, Kogi State and Nigeria.
“It is my prayer that the Almighty shall give the Family the courage to bear this irreparable loss and comfort them, always.”
