THE Deputy Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council (South), Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has urged Nigerians to reject anything that could derail the election.
Daniel stated this while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta, on Thursday, that the call for the postponement of the elections by the Attorney General and Minister of Information, Abubakar Malami, was a secret antic of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to rig in the elections.
He called on Nigerians to rise against any move to postpone the elections, saying “that’s quite suspicious and I do hope it is not part of the ground plan to derail the democracy.

“Everything is on course and I do not see any reason why anybody should be thinking of postponement. In any case, INEC is supposed to be completely independent.
“Few days ago, the Chairman of INEC indicated that they are very happy with their planning and everything is going on as planned. So, why would the Attorney General suddenly engineer INEC to change? I don’t understand it.
“I think Nigerians must actually raise their voice. This might be the beginning of what we had always feared that because the government of the day thinks they are not going to win this election, they are thinking of some other way out. God will not allow it,” Daniel said.
