Quit Notice: Pensioners call for unity of Nigeria

THE Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), has condemned all those who are encouraging hate speeches to destabilize the country to desist and join hands with the present government to build together a virile nation.

In a statement issued and signed in Abuja by the General Secretary of NUP, Elder Actor Zal, the union called for the unity of the country; even as it commended the payment of June pension before the celebration of Salah.

While acknowledging the payment of June pension to all pensioners in Nigeria, the NUP commended the Federal Government for harkening to the voice of the union by acting fast to ensure that “our people have a very happy sallah celebration.”

Elder Zal said: “The union also wishes to appreciate the PTAD, especially the Executive Secretary Barr (Mrs) Sharon Ikeazor for her effort at making sure that this payment scales through.”

The union also thanked the Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, the Registrar of Trade Unions and all government agencies involved in the monthly payments of pension.
