The Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with security experts and the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), is set to host the launch of a commemorative publication titled Readings in Policing, Peace, and Security: A Festschrift in Honour of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
This announcement was made in a statement released on Sunday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Olumuyiwa Adejobi. The event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the Nigeria Police Force Resource Centre in Jabi, Abuja.
The publication celebrates the exemplary leadership and significant contributions of IGP Egbetokun to peace, security, and policing in Nigeria.
The book features insightful contributions from renowned scholars, practitioners, and stakeholders in the fields of peace, security, and humanitarian studies.
It highlights the IGP’s visionary leadership, innovative policing strategies, and commitment to community engagement.
The ceremony will be graced by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
The event will bring together dignitaries, security experts, academics, and stakeholders to celebrate the IGP’s achievements and reflect on the future of policing in Nigeria.
The Festschrift represents a testament to IGP Egbetokun’s leadership and is considered a valuable resource for future generations, reflecting the collective endorsement of both the individual and the administration led by IGP Egbetokun within the Nigeria Police Force.
