A 28-year-old man, Ifeanyi Alagba has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for allegedly raping an eleven-year-old deaf and dumb girl.
The suspect was arrested following a tip-off from a good Samaritan living around the area, while the mother of the victim was away as at the time when the illicit act was ongoing.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed in a statement to newsmen in Awka, on Thursday, explain that on the 12/6/2019 at about 12:30 pm, Police detectives attached to B’ division Awka arrested one Ifeanyi Alagba ‘m’ aged 28 years of Amoko road, Ifite Awka for raping.

The suspect he said allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge with an eleven years old deaf and dumb girl of same address on the 9/6/2019 while the victim mother was away.
However, the scene was visited by Police detectives and the victim was taken to the hospital for medical examination.
And that the case is under investigation.
