Niger State Police Command has apprehended a 20-year-old suspect, Ndaba Zhirin, in connection with a housebreaking incident in Doko Division, Lavun Local Government Area.
According to a statement by the Police image maker, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the suspect was arrested following a report filed on June 25, 2024, at approximately 0700hrs.
The burglars had stolen handsets, recharge cards, and an estimated N300,000 in cash from a businessman’s residence in Doko.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, and a handset and recharge cards were recovered.
The statement however assured that effort is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing member, while the suspect has been charged to court for prosecution.
