At strategic operational retreat held at the Transcorp Hilton during the weekend, PDU mentioned the SIPs to include conditional cash transfer programme (CCTP), National Home Grown School Feeding programme, N-Power, and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme.
The programmes have a collective objective of restoring livelihoods, creating economic opportunities and providing sustenance for underprivileged and marginalized demographics across the country.
“By getting delivery down to a science, ‘Deliverology’ consists of tracking results, problem-solving and reporting; and the fusion of these elements creates a virtuous dynamic of continuous improvement which drive the achievement of the goals of the programme,” he said.
The Retreat highlighted the PDU’s achievements since inception and interventions that have initiated improvements to the Social Investment Programmes.
In addition, as the PDU repositions itself for greater impact, it unveiled its Six-Month Strategic Plan, which highlights ‘Game Changers’ such as the vital role of tactical communications and stakeholder engagement, which will deliver visible value to the Nigerian citizenry.
Over the next six months, the PDU will support the monitoring and evaluation process in order to provide verified reporting; implement an effective Beneficiary Feedback Mechanism; deploy the Issue Resolution Process across the SIPs in collaboration with the National Social Investment Office (NSIO); and support strategic communications between all stakeholders in the social investment space.
The PDU will continue to work with stakeholders that are critical to the realization of their mandate, such as the National Social Investment Office – an organization that has made a remarkable impact while coordinating the Social Investment Programmes from inception till date.
