The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of instigating the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the recent agitation for a new national minimum wage for workers by the organised Labour and a demand for outstanding subsidy claim by petroleum marketers.
Abuja National Hospital inaugurates executive wing
But the PDP dismissed the APC’s claims and accused the ruling party of finding pleasure in making unfounded allegations.
Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekeen Nabena, made the accusations on Thursday night at an interactive session with journalists in Abuja.
The APC scribe also alleged that the stance of President Muhammadu Buhari not to pass the Electoral Amendment Bill into law was informed by a revelation of plot by the PDP to hack the database of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the event that President Buhari, who incidentally is the APC candidate, signed the Bill.
Nabena further claimed that the plot to hack the INEC database, instigate ASUU, NLC , the oil marketers under the aegis of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, (IPMAN) and Depots and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) was hatched during a recent PDP retreat in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
“You see, the law we are using now was signed by the PDP. So, you as ruling party, you created a law and you are now afraid to use what you created. Does that sound right? You see, what the PDP are doing, they are playing out what they planned in Dubai. This is what they designed in Dubai. They have started playing all of them one by one.
“They started with the Labour agitation for minimum wage. They tried that one to cause problem in the country. It didn’t work; they brought ASUU strike. It didn’t work and they now brought fuel scarcity. These are all the games they planned in Dubai.
“So, their last plot is the Electoral Act. If the president had signed, they would still go and demonstrate. We are waiting for them.
“This bill you are talking about, how can you put in a bill that results be transmitted electronically from the poling unit? What are they trying to do? These are part of their Dubai plan, trying to bring the same Russians to hack the system. That’s their joker. So, once President Buhari signed the bill, they would instruct their Russian client to just hack into the system and transmit the figures. We all know what they are doing. This is their last joker. They all went to Russia, once this bill is signed, they will hack the system,” he said.
Although Nabena agreed that the demands of ASUU, NLC and petroleum marketers were legitimate, he claimed that the timing was suspect.
“Yes, that is what I am saying, because they want distractions in the system, so that they will now tell the people that APC can’t handle the ASUU strike, they can’t handle the fuel subsidy, they can’t handle the minimum wage. You see that everybody is now coming up to demand for what is due to them one way or the other at this particular time because they also know that elections are coming. Yes, they are legitimate but at this time, they want to create a distraction and once it is there, they want to capitalise on that,” he added.
Falsehood is their stock in trade —PDP
Speaking with Saturday Tribune in a telephone interview, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, however, dismissed the claim by his counterpart in the ruling party, Nabena.
He said the APC was fond of making unfounded allegations and wondered how the ruling party would assume that the PDP would be inciting unions like ASUU and the NLC to destabilise the country.
“Well, our reaction is that Yekeen Nabena is an illiterate. He doesn’t understand the strength of the issues that he is discussing. If he does, he won’t be talking about an attempt to attack a system that hasn’t been formulated, that hasn’t been created and as far as we are concerned, those dubious antics are associated with the APC.
“For instance, in 2014-15, they were the harbingers of hate speech. Today, they are the ones complaining. They are known to have rigged elections, suddenly increasing the number of voters in Kano and other states and at the end of the day alleging rigging.
“So, it is in the character of the APC to cry wolf where there is none. They have further demonstrated lack of capacity in knowledge by saying that we are behind ASUU strike, the demand for payment of subsidy and NLC demand for minimum wage. It is rather unfortunate.
“As far as the PDP is concerned, and as far as our candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is concerned, the referendum for the 2019 election is clear before Nigerians. It is all about the massive failure and woeful performance of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“We have never witnessed the kind of hunger that Nigerians are going through today. We are the poverty headquarters of the entire world, courtesy of Buhari. Nigerians are lamenting and they have become despondent about governance, courtesy of Buhari and his party. These are the issues for 2019 campaign. We are also demanding for credible 2019 elections, not the one of lip service the way Buhari is going about by saying he is committed to free elections, whereas he has refused to sign the bill that would engender free and fair election. Nigerians have moved beyond Buhari, they are just waiting on the election day to tell characters like Nabena that they have failed Nigerians,” Ologbodiyan said.
Stupidity is your surname.
I think APC’s foolishness has gotten to point of no return
You cannot lock your shop and chase after criminals. APC corruption agenda is a hindrance to economic evolution and enhanced security.

Propaganda every where
Its no news . that’s what APC is known for. Can’t wait for this satanic government to give way
APC has no shame and honour, instead of admitting their failure. They always try to blame others for their massive incompetence, they won the election with propaganda and has since been governing with propaganda. What a shame for a country like Nigeria.
Meaning that PDP is in control of everything.
What baffles me is that APC is accusing PDP of 16 years misrule and looting. This same accusation comes mostly from PDP members that defected to APC e.g. Omo Agege,Akpabio,Ganduje,Orji Uzor Kalu,Chime, and many more.
It is sad that Nigeria politicians are shameless opportunists. They belong to association of “Any Govt in Power(AGIP)”. They talk from both sides of the mouth.
I just wonder if the common men that they use during elections will wake up from their slumbers and know who among them have genuine mindset to serve for them to support.
All politicians are corrupt, selfish, liars, insensitive to genuine cause, callous and always in the spirit of do(win) or die ideology.
We should stop fighting ourselves physically or via online because of those heartless devils in human form called Politician either in PDP or APC. They are all the same people recycling themselves looking for how to protect their permanent loots and interests.
As usual. APC never take responsibility for any failure. Blame game everyday
Everything PDP ha can’t you fear God
APC instigated BokoHaram to frustrate the last PDP govt. We have not forgotten
And you allow them to succeed?
Blame game again.U build ur administration on nothing apart from blaming other parties for ur inability to reform the nation.
What type of party is dis…. Ha
Lazy APC only blame dey no
A fool, considered all things political.
Ewu hausa
PDP will soon impregnate your wifes and daughters.
word of a failed government. Always blaming its opposition for their incompetent leadership styles since it took over the affairs of the nation.
Talk, as insane as your appearance!
Why owing them,?
Noted
If the opposition can instigate strike… Hahaha then this is a clear manifestation to the fact that they are in charge!!!
A lazy workman always blame his tool!
Yes ooooo, they also instigated INEC to conduct 2019 elections
All na politics…
How is that possible??
APC is a failure, period!
Just keep your mouth shut if you have nothing meaningful to say. The lecturers did not acquire much knowledge and experience over the years, only to be tools in the hands of dafts like you.
Clueless ppl nd their blame games again!! You would even blame pdp if catarrh catches you..
This the news I av been waiting for since, I knw one day they will say it
Excuses of failure….

These are excuses from a mentally lazy person
Foolishness. The PDP will also instigate Buhari’s return to Daura
We won’t foild ur hands and watch this APC crumble this country, election will judge.
Scamming APC where the leaders in APC led government are corrupt
Apc is in charge of only the presidency and paramilitary
PDP again and again.
Everyone is not CABALISTIC APC who instigated all manners of Strikes and protests against Jonathan’s administration….just that unseen forces of nature is serving the WAYO WAYO APC govt the same food they cooked for others in 2015……what goes around must surely come around sometime someday…….
This man na fool are they in power but they didn’t stop u from rigging and osun and ekiti election yeye man
PDP caused the inability of APC men to impregnate their wives. Bounch of confused people, keep blaming the opposition for your failures.
Hate speech
APC the blaming party. There’s always someone to blame
You guys are good at blaming the opposition but when it comes to completing their projects you wouldn’t give them accolades.
I am still laughing. APC, next level of poverty.
Their Dubai plans will never work…. cry babies are crying on the Act they signed in 2010 and amended in 2015
Even if they are unable to perform on bed it is the cause of PDP
So, PDP still has that much influence.
See mumu people, so we can boldly say APC instigated it during PDP’s regime. APC will never take responsibility. Always blaming PDP.
If PDP can still do all these under ur watch then they deserve to come back.
That means they are in control of your government
I guess you are sick right. What hinders you from doing what is right at least for once? Everything is always caused by PDP
I have often said it, this APC guys are mad
Let’s blame pdp for the weather
Instead of finding solution to ASUU requests you are there accusing PDP. or is ASUU’s strike not justified? failed APC government.
Lie….
Did the ruling party do the right things to Aggrieved organization, did you actually hold them, b4 you will be criticalizing any opposition
Very confused apc government
I hope APC would not blame PDP when we have no rainfall.
This ApC self…every time complaining without a comparative solution….na wao
You can never change
Excuses and blame game since day one you took over
Am so tired of this government with all these ungenuine excuses all the time! Maybe they should just quit if they lack ideas.
They will soon start blaming pdp for the harmathan haze.
Blame game,that’s their forte..
PDP was responsible for the humongous bribe Ganduje took abi???
The blame game continuous going towards the fourth year. If policies are strategically implemented by the present government, it will be a work over as it will be visible for the govern to be the judge. My take is governance should be left for the citizenry to be the umpire. Furthermore, it is a warning sign for all political actors to do well. Whether APC, PDP and others all we want is a better Nigeria where the masses have a better life. It is the MASSES versus the ELITES
APC IS A FAILURE! FULL OF BLAMES.
Blame game party, APC.
Capital lie , all this things happening because of the up coming election
But God win
Apc are u people not tired of blame game. Even yesterday osibanjo still blame pdp for their failure. Nigerians are tired of this blame game
Blamed upon blame.Just few months to come and all this excuses will stop

The blame game continues! PDP is now NLC
