The governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), Paul Chukwuma, has decried the declining standard of education in the State.
In a statement he personally issued on Tuesday, Sir Paul Chukwuma expressed concern over the significant deterioration in key indicators of development within the state.
He noted that Anambra, once a leading light in education for over a decade, has seen this achievement erode under the current administration.
“Anambra State has drastically fallen in education rankings, now trailing behind states like Abia, Imo, and Ebonyi in terms of students’ performance.

“Under the present government, we have witnessed such a decline that the state was unable to feature in both regional and national lists of top-performing students who attained five credits in their senior certificate examinations.
“This is the worst situation we have seen in over a decade,a broken promise, and a lost gain,” he said.
Sir Chukwuma further emphasised that this decline is a dangerous signal for the future of the state and its children.
“This is a warning for our people, as the future of our children is at stake.”
“With our New Anambra Agenda, we are committed to rebuilding and sustaining the progress we once had, ”he added.
