He also commended the member representing Orire State Constituency in the House, Hon. Johnson Ogundele, for his immediate response and efforts to stand by his people in their moment of grief.

“This is a dark moment for our dear state. I commiserate with the victims, the families who have lost loved ones, and the entire people of Orire. We mourn with you, and we assure you that your pain is ours,” the Speaker said.

Ogundoyin further commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his swift and proactive response to the tragic incident and assurance of strengthened security architecture in the region.

He assured the people of Orire and other vulnerable areas in the state that the Oyo State House of Assembly will continue to support legislative and executive actions aimed at ensuring lasting peace and security.

The Speaker called on security agencies to intensify their intelligence and surveillance operations across the state to prevent a recurrence of such attacks.
