The executive of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State council has engaged the services of external auditors, Update Consulting, for the forensic auditing of its Pen Group of Schools and Guest Houses.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary, Mr Sola Oladapo, and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan.
It said that the decision to engage the audit firm was reached, on Monday, at a meeting held with the management of the school and guest houses.
The statement said that the Ibadan-based audit firm is expected to do a forensic audit of the school and guest houses from 2017 to 2019.

It said that the audit firm would work with a newly constituted committee for a period of one week starting from Wednesday, January 8.
The new committee has Oladapo, the union Secretary as the Chairman, Mr Gboyega Ogunsina, an educationist, Alhaji Wasiu Asekun, the school’s PTA Chairman and Pastor Adeola Oduola, immediate Past Assistant Secretary of the union.
Also on the committee are Mr Lekan Yusuf, the council’s Administrative Officer, Mrs Kemi Afolabi, the school’s Bursar and a school teacher as members.
Other members are Mrs Jadesola Ajibola, the State NAWOJ Chairman, Mrs Femi Odekunle, Mr Jeremiah Oke, the union’s Treasurer, Mr Akeem Abas and Mrs Titi Adeyemi of the State Ministry.
