Oyo State Commissioner for youth and Sports, Mr Seun Fakorede, has stressed the importance of value orientation as it attracts fame and money and how profitable it is to imbibe it.
He said this during a mind boost conference held in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on Saturday.
On development, the commissioner also encouraged Nigerian youths to embrace the importance of content creation so that as youths, they will be able to contribute to the development of their states and the nation at large.
“Make sure you go for whatever will benefit and add value to your life. It doesn’t matter whether you have degrees or not. What matters is your value.”
The Mind Boost Conference, a platform for mindset transformation of youths in communities tagged ‘In line with the future’, was aimed at training youths in leadership positions and contribute positively to the development of the nation.
The conference had speakers who have made their marks in various fields of human endeavours in their communities and addressed issues that are related to the interest of youths.

The event which featured a panel session, tagged ‘Discovery of self ‘allowed the speakers and audience, the opportunity to interact on critical issues relating to mindset transformation, personal and self development.
The first edition took place in Lagos in 2017 while the second edition took place in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, in 2018.
Other speakers include, Abiola Omojesu, Agbabiaka Michael and Mrs Toyin Oguntuyi. They spoke on skills acquisition, the power of the mind, and volunteering.
The convener and founder of ‘The Seed’s Talk Initiative, Mr Temitope Seeds Arowosegbe, on the occasion, said the conference was organised to build a better nation through youths development.
