The ceremony took place on Thursday, at the Trans Amusement Park, Bodija, Ibadan.
The new heads include the mother of the member representing Ibadan North in the House of Representatives, Honourable Abiodun Awoleye, Chief (Mrs) Moyosore Awoleye, who was installed as the new head of the union in Ibadanland and environs; Alhaja Agbeke Lawal became the second head while Alhaja Mufuliat Yusuf, was installed as the third head.
Speaking, the Chairperson of Oyo State Canteen Workers’ Union, Alhaja Iyadunni Lawal, advised the newly sworn in local government executives of the union to work towards achieving the mandates on which the union was founded, urging them to develop new spirit of comradeship and take care of one another.
She appealed to them not to bear any grudge against one another, but embrace to every member and work towards the growth of the union.
She, however, expressed gratitude to God for making the inaugural and inauguration ceremony a reality and prayed to God to protect and make members of the union prosperous.
In her remarks, the newly installed head in Ibadanland commended the chairperson of the union for her leadership style, promising her cooperation with the state executives in making the union great.
One of the newly sworn in local government chairpersons, Alhaja Omolabake Ojolowo, said she felt elated to be among the new executives, adding that she would do everything in her capacity to move the union forward and would the confidence members repose in her.
