Honour recently found its way to the home of APC stalwart, Otunba Bushura Alebioshu as he was elevated to the position of Chairman, Council of Otunbas by the Awujale of Ijebuland, His Royal Majesty Oba Sikiru Adetona.
The Otunba Gbelebuwa was appointed to fill the exalted post in Ijebu after the demise of the occupant, Otunba Wahab Osinusi who passed away last year.
The Otunba’s Council is an influential assembly in Ijebuland tasked with the promotion of cultural, social, and economic development of the highly cerebral Ijebu people. The head of the council is usually a prominent person, an achiever who has contributed immensely to the development of the kingdom.
The Awujale described Otunba Bushura as a qualified personality who has distinguished himself and has the profound capacity to lead the council effectively.
The 87-year-old Bushura served in the Lagos House of Assembly till 1983. He is the father of popular politician, Hon. Dayo Bush.
