The Osun police command has said it is on the trail of the perpetrators of the murder of an Ikirun-based beer parlour owner identified as Iya Bisola in the Ifelodun local government area.
The command added that it has dispatched a team of homicides from SCIID to unravel the mystery behind her death.
The police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mrs Yemisi Opalola who made these known in Osogbo, affirmed that, in no distance time, the evildoers will be nabbed and those behind the killing would be brought to book.
According to her, “We are investigating the matter. Our men are already on top of the issue, I will keep you updated as soon as an arrest is made.”
Meanwhile, residents of the area told Tribune Online that the deceased was strangulated in her room on a fateful day and charged the concerned authorities to get to the roots of the matter.
While revealing that, Iya Bisola beer parlour was an adjourning joint to her residential abode, a man simply identified as Adesoye stated that, the incident came to them as a shocker but, expressed optimism that, the police would do their best on the matter.
Also on the incident, the Public Relations Officer of Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kehinde Adeleke, said officers of the command visited the scene before the corpse was evacuated.
She said “A popular beer parlour vendor called ‘Iya Bisola’ at station road Ikirun was allegedly strangled to death by unknown persons.
According to the NSCDC PRO, the reasons for her assassination is still yet unknown.
