Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, will, tomorrow, hold a special prayer session for a successful tenure for Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State.
According to a statement issued by the press secretary to the traditional ruler, Alli Ibraheem, the prayer would hold at the Palace Square, Iwo by 10 am prompt.
Interested individuals, most especially religious leaders – Muslims, Christians and traditionalists, were enjoined to grace the supplication for a successful tenure for the governor as the number one citizen of the state.
“I have chosen to support any government in power with my physical, spiritual and intellectual endowments. As a responsible father to the nation, I pioneered leadership prayers for the nation as a segment of my spiritual contribution to having a divined direction of policy formulations and implementations for the elected and appointed government officials.

“I have launched my annual leadership prayer as one of my self imposed national assignments. As a new governor, Oyetola deserves supplication for a successful tenure in office to build on the achievements of his predecessor. I will lead a state prayer for him.
“This is not about any party, it is about government. I hereby called on various religious leaders, stakeholders and the general public to remember the nation’s leaders at large in prayer because prayer for leaders is a prayer for the nation,” Oluwo said in the statement.
The traditional ruler also charged patriotic citizens to sow a seed of prayer for leaders for positive directions and for the benefit of the general public.
