Oluwashola Fausath Bello, a deputy manager at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), has been inducted as Fellow of the National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA), Nigeria’s foremost professional body for credit management. The recognition, conferred at an exclusive ceremony held on October 18, 2024, at the institute’s conference center in Abuja, places Ms. Bello among the country’s most distinguished business leaders and experts in credit management.
NICA, established in 1992 as the Institute of Credit Administration (ICA), was chartered by the Federal Government through an Act of Parliament in 2022.
As the supervisory authority for credit management in Nigeria, the institute plays a critical role in regulating the profession and safeguarding the interests of credit providers and business leaders. The award of Fellowship is the highest membership cadre within the institute, recognizing exceptional professionals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the development of the credit management industry and the broader business environment.
Ms. Bello’s professional journey is a testament to her dedication and expertise. With years of experience in business, taxation, and revenue management, she has steadily risen to a senior managerial role at FIRS, the agency responsible for assessing and collecting taxes and other government revenues. Her ascent to the highest level of her career reflects her hard work, discipline, and commitment to excellence.
Expressing her gratitude at the event, Ms. Bello thanked the National Institute of Credit Administration for the honor, acknowledging that the recognition is not just a personal achievement but a reflection of the collaborative effort of her colleagues at FIRS. She emphasized her commitment to furthering the objectives of NICA, contributing to the growth of the credit management profession, and supporting Nigeria’s economic development.
This achievement places Ms. Bello in the company of other distinguished Fellows, solidifying her status as one of Nigeria’s leading figures in business and economic development.
