Olubadan, Ladoja, Ibadan Obas settle rift, hold advisory council meeting

Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, has succumbed to the pressure of other High chiefs and eminent Indigenes of Ibadanland to end the rift with members of Olubadan Advisory Council headed by Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator Lekan Balogun.

Senator Ladoja arrived at the Alarere residence of Oba Balogun at 1148 a.m. for the Council meeting in his black Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep with registration number BDJ 123 AS.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that his presence at the meeting is a sequel to a series of meetings with other High chiefs who described his absence at the council meeting as a setback.

The affected High chiefs said it was high time they came together for the progress of Ibadanland.

But Ladoja, in one of the meetings, according to one of his aides, reminded them of the ongoing litigation at the High Court.

You people have taken me to court, and you still want me to sit down with you while the case is still pending.

But the chiefs insisted on his attendance at the meeting.

In attendance at the meeting are: Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehim, Otun Balogun, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola Abimbola, Osi Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole, Osi Balogun, Oba Lateef Adebimpe, Asipa Balogun, Oba Kolawoke Adegbola, Asipa Olubadan, Oba Biodun Kola Daisi, Ekerin Balogun, Oba John Isioye Dada, Ekerin Olubadan, Oba Amidu Ajibade,  Ekaarun Balogun, Oba Abiodun Agadagudu while Ekaarun Olubadan Oba Akande.

The meeting is ongoing as of the time of filing the report.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that Ladoja had not attended the Council meeting since the installation of the nine High chiefs of Ibadanland as Obas.

Also, the newly installed Obas had insisted not to have High Chief Ladoja in attendance at any of their meetings
