Barely 48 hours after assumption of office for his second term, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has named his Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Chief of Staff.
The immediate past Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Hon. Chiedu Ebie, clinched the SSG position while Chief David Edevbie, former Commissioner for Finance and a political son of Chief James Ibori, emerged as Chief of Staff.
In addition, Governor Okowa named Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, the former Director General of his campaign organisation and erstwhile commissioner for Works during former governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan’s tenure, as his Senior Political Adviser.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, were contained in a statement issued on Friday and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr. Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje.
