The Gbegande of Ososaland, Oba Mojeed Adetoye Alatishe, has affirmed that the land has since last year December witnessed significant economic growth, attributing such to investments from indigenes and non-indigenes.
Oba Alatishe made this remark while speaking at the grand finale of the 2024 Edition of the Ososa Omoroyo Day celebration, the 2nd edition of the event, expressing excitement as he showered praises on the sons and daughters who witnessed the occasion, just as he encouraged them to continue coming back home to contribute to the town’s economic growth.
The event was a resounding success, filled with excitement, cultural displays, traditional performances, and peer interactions, among others, showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of the Ososa community.
The Ososa Omoroyo Day celebration is a testament to the community’s commitment to preserving its cultural identity and promoting unity among its people.
The monarch said that in healthcare, Ososa sons and daughters in UK/Ireland had donated a modern antenatal clinic, complementing the medical porta cabin provided by Rotary International of Lagos, even as he equally commended the financial members of OSND of the UK for this laudable structure and their annual donation of 5000 exercise books.
Oba Alatishe also hailed Hon. Oluwafemi Ogunbanwo for donating a 500kv transformer, saying such had put an end to the electricity crisis in Osalakoye, Idomowo Oke-Esin, Oke-Ala and part of Ijoku areas of Ososa town.”
“Since last December, Ososa has witnessed significant economic progress, thanks to investments from indigenes and non-indigenes.

Chairman, 2024 Ososa Omoroyo Day Planning Committee, Chief Abayomi Idowu Adewunmi, in his own remark, rejoiced with all sons and daughters of the town for witnessing this year’s edition, which according to him, is holding back to back with Omoroyo Day 2023 after 31 years of lacunae.
Adewunmi recalled that last year’s theme was “Building Consensus,” saying that it was aimed “to encourage citizens to work together, build together and achieve together.”
He described this year’s theme: “Creat Hope —–in yourself, community and the world” as inspirational, saying that it was aimed at assisting in focusing on the future needs of the community.
Adewunmi expressed gratitude to the entire membership of the planning committee for their support and tireless efforts.
Attendance at the memorable event included Special Guest of Honour, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, who was represented by Onifegunwa of Ifegunwa, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Oba Adedire Adewale Solomon; Ogun State Governor, Mr. Dapo Abiodun; Member, House of Representatives, Hon. Ogunbanwo Adeleke Olufemi; the Executive Chairman, Odogbolu Local Authority Odogbolu, Ogun State; Minority Leader, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Lukman Adeleye; Architect Adeboye Ogunbadejo, President, Ososa United Society, Dr. Wale Ogunbadejo; Chairman of the Day, among others.
Highlights of the event include a parade of clubs/Regberegbes, Cultural displays of Egungun, Epa, Jigbo, Gbedu dance, and presentation of merit awards, among others.
