Ogun: Gov Abiodun appoints Lekan Adeniran as Chief Press Secretary

Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has made a significant appointment, naming Lekan Adeniran, the editor of WesternPost, an online newspaper publication, as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS).

The announcement of this appointment was conveyed through a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr Tokunbo Talabi, on Tuesday. The appointment comes into immediate effect.

Lekan Adeniran, a Mass Communication graduate, brings more than three decades of journalistic experience to his new role.

His career in journalism began at The Guardian in 1992, where he covered assignments related to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Lagos State House of Assembly, and the Governor’s Office in Alausa, Ikeja.

In 2001, Adeniran transitioned to the newly established Daily Independent after leaving The Guardian.

Throughout his career, he has worked with several reputable media organisations, including the Compass, Next, and National Mirror newspapers.
