The councillors made this known while addressing newsmen in Iperu Remo, on Thursday, that they have no choice than to support the leadership of the party on the issue.
Speaking on behalf of others, Hon. Adewale Aka said the solidarity show of support became necessary in view of different anti-Dapo Abiodun protests by some party members.
Aka insisted that party’s decision must be respected by loyal and faithful members irrespective of such member’s position in the party.
Corroborating him, Hon Taiwo Solarin, appealed to the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to accept the outcome of the governorship primary in good faith in the overall interest of the party and State at large.

The councillors drawn from the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas promised their unalloyed support to the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari and the emergence of Abiodun as the next governor of the State.
A member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Adebowale Ojuri, who was part of the solidarity rally urged Amosun to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship on the matter.
Ojuri, who is representing Odogbolu State Constituency in the Assembly and also the Chief Whip of the House, advised the councillors to mobilize people at the local levels to ensure Abiodun’s victory at the polls in 2019.
