Idowu Odesola, a visual and multimedia artist, popularly known as Harmony, has announced plans made by his brand, ArtHarmony, to create a solo art exhibition cum paint-and-sip experience for the public.
Tagged ‘Iboju’, loosely translated as mask, the event which is scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 7, between 10 am and 6 pm, in Ijebu, Ogun State, is expected to provide an atmosphere of relaxation and networking.
Participants are expected to pick up tickets of choice at N10,000, N50,000, and N100,000
Speaking on the event, the convener, Isaiah Odesola, hinted that materials for the paint-and-sip session would be provided for the participants.
According to the Ogbomoso-born paint-artist, “In addition to display of visual art, this exciting hangout offers an interactive space where everyone can share their interpretations of reality, summon their inner Picasso and represent their innate fantasies on canvas.
“We’ll supply everything you need, including canvases, paints, and brushes; and you can leave with a beautiful piece of art that you created yourself.”
Odesola, a graduate of Fine and Applied Art from Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, in Ogun State, added that his colleagues will be on ground to guide participants in achieving their desired outcomes in the painting session.
“Our talented instructor will guide you step-by-step to create your very own masterpiece. No prior painting experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm. Meet fellow art enthusiasts and make new friends in a fun and casual setting,” he hinted.
Born Idowu Isaiah Odesola, the Ibadan-based visual painter, in 2014, joined UR4Africa and Publicartnigeria respectively, as a student, where he is currently serving as a mentor in the latter.
Odesola creates primarily in oil and acrylic paint, textile design, performance art and a host of other art-related engagements, such as realism.
He is the pioneer of Harmonizm painting style.
With a focus on portraiture, he believes people wear masks to cover their innermost feelings and their current situations.
