Corps Members trainees under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development in Anambra State have been advised to have multiple streams of income to survive the economic challenges in Nigeria.
The advice was given during the inter platoon SAED competition and exhibition held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Unity NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, on Monday.
In her closing remarks, the Anambra State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, stressed that the reality of unemployment in Nigeria had made it pertinent for corps members and other individuals to acquire skills that would prevent over-dependence on regular paying jobs so they could empower themselves and others economically.
She further encouraged them to take advantage of various sources of funding that have been put in place by the Federal Government for corps entrepreneurs, with little or no interest rate, while assuring those who were determined of ease of accessing such funds.
