NUC boss lauds KolaDaisi University

kola-daisi uniThe executive secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, has commended KolaDaisi University (KDU), Ibadan, for its impressive achievements within its first year of operations

Professor Rasheed who paid a courtesy visit to the university said the university had cleared critical hurdles and had attained the level that would enable it to easily attract quality staff and students.

He commended the conducive academic environment, and in particular, the leadership of the university, and advocated for all hands to be on the deck to sustain the enviable progress towards achieving the vision to become an institution of global reckoning for which it was established.

On the executive secretary’s entourage were the commission’s Director of Research, Innovation and Communication Technology, Dr  Suleiman Raman-Yusuf and the Director of Accreditation, Dr Noel Biodun Saliu, both of whom in their contributions commended the management of the university for its untiring pioneering efforts towards attracting students, as well as its quest for more innovative courses.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolade Luke Ayorinde, thanked the executive secretary and his entourage for their interest, encouragement and continuous support in the development of the university.

Professor Ayorinde disclosed that the progress witnessed in the university within the short time of its operations as acknowledged by the visitors was a product of the doggedness of the university’s founder, Chief Kola Daisi, in conjunction with the experienced and dedicated members of both the Board of Trustees and the Governing Council.

In his remarks during the facility tour of the university, led by the vice-chancellor,  the visibly impressed executive secretary lauded the courage and sacrifices of the founder, Chief Kola Daisi for his huge investment in the education sector, which he noted would be to the benefit of future generations.
