The Shehu of Borno’s palace in Maiduguri has witnessed many grand ceremonies in the past. The palace ground has received many eminent Nigerians, Presidents and big wigs, who at a point in time had participated in numerous colorful occasions that held in the palace.
A few days ago, the palace hosted the who-is-who from all sectors of politics, governance, business, entertainment to the wedding ceremony of Mohammed Zulum, the eldest son of Borno State governor, Professor
Babagana Zulum, to Ummi Kaltum.
It was a grand ceremony, where royalty and class were in fusion and a pure display of the rich northern culture.
The fatiha was presided over by the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar El Kanemi at the Maiduguri Central Mosque.
Former President, Muhammadu Buhari who was present is acted as the groom is representative. He asked for the hand of the bride from the bride’s representative, Vice-President, Kashim Shettima.
Spotted at the ceremony were Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Alhaji Muhammed Indimi, Mele Kyari, Ali Modu Sheriff, Nuhu Ribadu, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Usman Baba Alkali and many other prominent people across the country.
