#NigeriaDecides2019 | Voters express satisfaction with process in Gombe

Voters in Kwami and Funakaye Local Government Areas of Gombe State say they are satisfied with the voting process in their constituency.

They said this in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Tongo, Funakye Local Government and Malam Sidi in Kwami Local Government Area of the state.

Alhaji Yaya Bauchi, member representing Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency said he was happy with the turnout of voters and the orderly process of events.

Bauchi, who voted at Tongo ward of Nasarawo 008, noted that the postponement did not affect the turnout of voters in his polling unit, stressing also that the perfect security arrangement encouraged voters to come out and perform their civic duties.

Mrs Kande Saidu of Kofar Yarima of 002 polling unit, said the election was a bit easier than the previous ones, adding that she did not waste much time in the process of voting.

“I am satisfied with the process and I commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a good job,” she said.

A physically-challenged voter, Malam Mahmud Abubakar of Kofar Ajiya ward of 004 polling unit, said he did not face any challenge while voting as he was allowed to vote before others in the queue.

NAN correspondent who visited Kwami and Funakaye Local Government Areas observed that the police at voting points were neither armed nor interfering with the voting process in all wards visited.

Police patrol vehicle were also noticed on highways between the border towns of Gombe and Yobe States.
