Nigerian street singer, Naira Marley, has sent a defiant message to his critics. In a recent Instagram post, the controversial artist assured his ‘haters’ that he has much more to offer, urging them to brace themselves for what lies ahead.
He wrote, “Marlians 4 Life.”. “Dear haters, I have so much more for you to be mad at. Just be patient.”
The statement comes on the heel of a viral video featuring Naira Marley and socialite, Sam Larry, in a prayer session and visitation from an Ilorin cleric.
In the footage, the cleric is seen leading a prayer for the suspects in the ongoing investigation into the death of Mohbad, a former signee under Naira Marley’s label.
While praying that God expose whoever is responsible for the death of Mohbad, the cleric insisted they shout “Amen,” a scenario which prompted reactions from netizens who continued to speculate on their alleged involvement in the late singer’s death.
Recall that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were previously detained on suspicion of involvement in the death of the former signee under Marlians record label, owned and run by Naira Marley.
After over five weeks in police custody, they met their bail conditions on November 17th.
Their release was confirmed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed that they had satisfied the terms set by a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court.
Following their release from custody, Naira and Sam were seen celebrating their freedom at an event.
