Sokoto state government has stepped up plans for the construction of new homes to all the District Heads without one in all the twenty-three (23) local governments area of Sokoto.
According to the resolution reached after a monthly meeting between the overseer of the Ministry for Local Government, who is also the Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan’iya as well as the 23 Sole Administrators of Sokoto State.

This is contained in a press statement signed by the Director of Press to the state Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdullahi Abubakar, and released to journalists in Sokoto on Thursday.
According to the statement, “This in line to accommodate some newly turbaned Districts Heads who in one way or the other has no Palaces to administer Leadership to their Subjects at the local level.
“The Forum agreed to renovate all dilapidated Primary Health Care Centres in all the Local government areas, to complement the State Government efforts of revitalization the health sectors in the rural areas”.
Meanwhile, the deputy governor has called on all Sole administrators to submit names and place of Primary schools in deplorable condition in their domain for quick intervention and renovation.
This According to the Deputy Governor will support Governor Tambuwal’s drive-in uplifting Education especially at the rural areas where Education is most desired.
Hon. Manir Dan’iya said all contracts of building and renovating of Districts Heads, PHCs and Primary Schools will be done by local contractors to boost economic activities in the State.
