Students of tertiary institutions in the country have been nominated in 21 categories and also as Role Model awardees.
According to a statement by the Project Director, Engineer Oyedayo Oyeniran, the release of nominees for this year’s edition after weeks of intense nomination is a yearly practice, which signifies the coming-in of the voting period.
“Voting will start for the Students, Youths and Celebrities Categories today and will end on November 25. This year’s edition features five nominees for each Youths & Celebrities Categories spread across regions of the country. It includes 21 Youths and Celebrities categories, 14 Student Categories and 5 Role Model Award Categories.”
In the same vein, Desmond Elliot, Adijat Oladapo, Mercy Aigbe, Abiodun Jimoh, Adetola Onayemi and Comrade Chinonso Obasi will bag the Role Model Awards.
“They have been dutifully selected for the Class of 2017 Role Model Awardees amongst thousands of role models in the country. They would be picking up their awards at the event to hold in a soon to be released date and venue.”
“The Student Nominees were chosen this year to reflect the regional arrangement the awards has taken. As from next year, there will be regional awards for students and a grand finale, which would hold in Lagos.
