Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has called for a state of emergency in the Northern states.
He made this known while receiving the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of 10, Ali Janga in Government House, Gusau, on Wednesday.
The Zamfara gov noted that insecurity challenges facing the region is overwhelming, saying we have to face it squarely or else we all perished.
According to him, all the states in the region are facing one form of security challenges or the other there is no pretence over it.
