Makinde appoints Tribune Politics Editor, Taiwo Adisa, as CPS

Group Politics Editor, Nigerian Tribune, Mr Taiwo Adisa is the spokesperson of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Adisa’s appointment as Chief Press Secretary was conveyed in a letter signed on Makinde’s behalf by his Chief of Staff, Mr Bisi Ilaka and issued on Monday.
Adisa boasts of decades of years in journalism and served as Abuja bureau chief of Nigerian Tribune for many years.

Until his appointment which takes immediate effect, Adisa was Abuja Bureau Chief and National Assembly correspondent of Tribune Newspapers.

Adisa has a Master of Arts degree in the Department of Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan and diploma from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.

Adisa, who hails from Ogbomoso South local government of the state has a Bachelor and Master of Arts degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan and is currently undertaking a PhD programme in Media Arts at the University of Abuja.

He previously served as Special Assistant (Media Relations) to former President of the Senate, Senator Adolphus Wabara between 2003 and May 2005.

The new Oyo Press Secretary has had an illustrious career in Journalism with stints in The News Tempo Magazines, The Punch Newspapers and Tribune newspaper which he joined in July 2005.

Apart from serving as the Group Politics Editor and Abuja Bureau Chief of Tribune, he also runs a weekly column in the Sunday Tribune called The Lynx-Eye, where he dissects political developments across the country.

Adisa’s appointment follows those of Mr Bisi Ilaka as Chief of Staff and Professor Sayed Malik as Chairman of Muslim Wing of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board.
