The outgoing governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has urged Anambra youths to maintain all the entrepreneurial skills they have learnt in his eight years of administration.
He said that learning a skill in this present Nigeria is the only solution to live a responsible life and be free of depression and other societal challenges.
Obiano, who was speaking through the State Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Professor Nkechi Theresa Obiekeze, at one-day Sensitization and Training Workshop for Youths leaders across the 181 communities in the state, mostly, from National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), advised them to be good ambassadors to their parents, community, the incoming administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo and the country at large.
She said the one-day event that took place at the State Ministry of Youth conference Hall, in Awka, on Tuesday, aimed at refreshing their minds towards using various social media platforms for further self-enhancement and development.
She also urged the youths to always use social media positively for inherent gains that will help them to become self-reliant in their future pursuits.
She appeals to them to show more seriousness in subsequent training in Soludo’s government.
“On behalf of the Ministry, the state governor, Willie Obiano and the state government at large, we wish you all the best in life, Obiekeze prayed.
Speakers at the Workshop, Dr Ikechukwu Umeh and Mr Obinna Nwakpadolu enjoined the participants to take advantage of the training to improve their living standards.
While encouraging other youths to shun social vices and embrace empowerment programmes of the government, the Awka North LGA Coordinator, Comrade Onukwube Augustine, thanked the Obiano administration for showing seriousness in impacting on the
youths.
