Nigerians particularly those aspiring for political positions in the 2019 general elections have been called upon to learn and imbibe how to concede defeat in good faith.
The call was made by the Gombe state Governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, at the Government House, Friday, shortly after the Eid prayers marking the end of the Ramadan fast which heralds the Muslims celebration of Eid-el fitr.
Hassan Dankwambo, who is aspiring for the presidency under the main opposition political party in the country, the PDP also used the occasion to call on Nigerians to ensure they get their PVCs, because according to him, getting and using ther PVCs during the elections remains the only weapon to get rid of bad leaders.

As if speaking over his 2019 presidential ambition, Hassan Dankwambo who has not officially declared his intention said that the people of Gombe State are at liberty to vie for any post in the land from bottom to top.
According to him, “we are legible to vie for any political post in the land from bottom to top, there is no position in Nigeria that a Gombe person cannot vie for.”
He therefore called on the people of the State to put to practice all that they have learnt during the one month Ramadan fast in order to continue to enjoy the blessings of Allah.
Earlier in his Sallah Message to the State, Hassan Dankwambo felicitated with the Muslim Umma over the opportunity to get closer to Allah stating that, “As we are all aware, Islam preaches peace, tolerance, and mutual respect amongst members of every community irrespective of ethnic or religious differences.Dank
“I therefore call on us to leave in peace with one another as no meaningful development can be achieved without peace. We should therefore embrace the tenets of peaceful coexistence as the catalyst for the socioeconomic development of our dear State”, the Governor also stressed.
The Sallah celebration was marked peacefully in the State with the Governor paying the usual Sallah homage to the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar in his palace where a mini durbar was held.
