Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso Alumni Association has described the crop of scholars injected into the Governing Council of the university as a blessing in disguise to the university.
The alumni made the remark at a meeting held with the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
Speaking at the occasion, the global president of the association, Onilede Solomon commended the governor for appointing Professor Ayodeji Omole as the new pro-chancellor of the institution, assuring the public that development would go a long way to move the university forward.
He said: “With the calibre of intellectual of high repute in the education sector and business circle appointed by Governor Makinde as members of the Governing Council of LAUTECH, the association is convinced that the institution will start to experience development in a short time. We are indeed impressed, as stakeholders, that governor Makinde has been keeping to his promises, particularly with the adequate care and attention he gives to the university for its development.”.
The association reiterated its commitment towards the growth and development of the university, as it would do everything possible to support the management and the governing council in their bid to transform the institution to the greater height possible.
